This was a fun project. Last semester I had stained glass window and it didn’t turn out how I wanted it to. So, this semester when I “Neoclassical” got supper excited be that is my favorite historical style and knew I needed to do something better than last semester.

There are so many things that you can do for Neoclassical; so, I decided to make a mood board of a room that would be inspired by French Neoclassical.

I hopped on to Amazon.com and ordered two rosettes and a trim piece, that were to be painted gold. The I hoped onto Mood.com and I ordered fabric swatches, gold tassels and gold trim pieces. Then I looked through all my paint samples, wood samples and fabric samples to find the rest.

I used these images for inspiration:

The fabrics in the chairs, the flooring, the gold wall, the carpet and wall color, I used from the images.

When I started to paint my rosettes and trim pieces, I realized I didn’t have a paint brush…. So, I had to use my fingers. Then the trim piece wouldn’t hold the gold paint, so I had to apply many coats. This was the end of that master piece.

I started to glue everything, I ended up gluing things down to far, so I had to add a trim piece on the top to fix my mistake…

And this is how it turned out!
